I was in Iraq for OIF 2, Feb 04-Feb 05. You head over with my respect. Everyone has their own opinions, but I believe that we are in the right place over there. Are there things that one can look at with hindsight and say we could have done better? Sure. However, we are giving common people over there something that they have never had and that is hope. Since man first rubbed two sticks together and made fire, the biggest bully has been in charge over there. If one showed any potential and was not in favor with the latest dictator, they disappeared. Of course, there are still security issues, but they have been improved and people have a chance to control their own destiny.

Will they ever be a carbon copy of what we have here? No. Will they evolve into their own version of a democracy? I pray everyday that they do.

In the same prayer, I thank God that there are still people like you who are willing to protect our freedoms that many take for granted. Take care and God Bless

Thanks for your comments Bilal. I agree, especially since the same for the web is very workable in the Notes client. So, yes, I agree...

The problem with focusing on High CPU power is that it takes companies 3 to 5 years to move to a new hardware or software platform. I believe that the average of what most people are using should be focused on.

I also think that R8 is great, but focused to much on "upcoming" processor power and disk speed. 8.0.2 is an improvement but stil not good enough for most people.

I'll start a conversation on Linked-in.

I am all about Web 2.0! and I agree that tag clouds should come to other applications as well. It would be really neat to see it in my Notes to just click on different topics of discussions etc.

On this topic, I would love to see more client side processing to take advantage of the high CPU power that we all have now. Lets not just focus on bringing it back to the old dumb-client model.

SaaS in my opinion is not the killer app of the future. I will surely blog about this sometime in near future. Thanks. Would love to exchange links as well.

{ Link }

Great subject, yes totaly agree with higher mental fitness = 10 more productivity in my opinion.. sometimes financial gratitude also helps with the human welling to give more and be more productive. but that is also a double sword where too much of that can lead to less productivity and expected increases on regular basis. so what is the balance?!!! I often stuggle with my employees in that..

like the example with Moses John, well put

How does it help to open data portals across the enterprise operation which would then allow approved users access to data that was previously on a different system and/or application? Some applications are not an open data format and, therefore, prevent sharing of the data with other apps without having to reformat the data.

And Batman was great!

I'm downloading 8.5 Beta by the way.

Rgds

KB
